Many of you are asking how come so many American Jews are voting for Democrats?

“As a former liberal, progressive Jew, I often get asked: Why are so many Jews still voting for Democrats, especially now?

The answer is more complicated than most people think, but here’s the short version: it’s mostly nonreligious, left-leaning, Reform or secular Jews keeping the trend going. For over 60 years, many of us were raised on ideals of fighting for the underdog, being proud social justice warriors, and a highly distorted version of "Tikkun Olam" a Jewish value about ‘repairing the world’ that got malignantly rebranded into aligning with mainstream progressive causes. (And yes Hammer I know your view on this)

We were taught to focus on making the world like us, doing everything to feel included, and always showing up as ‘good’ allies for everyone else’s issues. Somewhere along the line, we stopped focusing on our own values and interests. The irony is that Jewish support for progressive causes was meant to build understanding, yet today we see so much hate, misunderstanding, and antizionism coming from those very spaces. In a way the far left progressive Jews has caused this problem by abandoning and distorting real Jewish Values (think Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders)

It’s time for more Jews to look at where our true allies are, who really stands with Israel, and the values that actually support our long-term survival and thriving. A reminder that standing with Israel and loving our own people should be the priority. We can't "Tikkun Olam" without taking care of ourselves and our own communities first.”

Last Thursday, the Commander of CENTCOM, General Michael “Erik” Kurilla, arrived in Israel as the official guest of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi.

The Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of CENTCOM held a situational assessment on strategic security issues and joint regional preparedness, as part of the response to threats in the Middle East, with a focus on Iran.
