Don't take too seriously those who claim that Trump is abandoning Israel—they analyze reality about as accurately as they did the U.S. elections. Just as they let their hopes shape their predictions back then, they're now letting their frustrations dictate their analyses.

Yes, Trump doesn't want the war to go on forever. But he's coming to the White House fueled by Iran’s attempts to kill him, surrounded by an overwhelmingly pro-Israel circle, and holding a clear "good vs. evil" worldview in which Israel is firmly on the good side. He also maintains a close, personal relationship with Netanyahu, having spoken to him three times just in the past week.

Some senior figures around him may lean isolationist, but they make exceptions for Israel. For example, J.D. Vance opposes ongoing aid to Ukraine but strongly supports Israel; and Mike Pompeo was sidelined not for his unwavering support of Israel, but because of his stance on continued aid to Ukraine and his backing of some of the legal proceedings against Trump.

Similarly, Nikki Haley's sidelining is due to internal reasons—Trump hasn't forgiven her for refusing to drop out of the primaries against him and for insisting on running until a very late stage. Her strong support for Israel has nothing to do with it.

No, Trump isn't "working for Israel", and that's fine—he's supposed to work for his American voters. But they, by and large, are very supportive of Israel, like him, and possess a moral clarity that has long faded among many Democrats and left-wing supporters.

The new president won't be a puppet for Netanyahu, and no one expects him to be. He'll simply be fairer towards Israel and much sharper in his global perspective, based on a clear moral distinction between good and evil, instead of postmodern chatter about cultural relativism and other BS concepts designed to whitewash empathy for terrorists.
