Following the previous referenda #73 and #74 on Moonriver to open HMRP channel between both parachains and activate xcBNC on Moonriver, Bifrost team is making its own corresponding proposal to open the bi-directional HMRP channel :

Initially, the main use case will be to transfer MOVR and BNC between the two chains, but it can be further expanded to other use cases.

Referenda #67: Proposal to increase active collator seats from 16 to 32

Since Bifrost Collator launched the mainnet on March 22, a total of 1,948,618 $BNC have been bonded for a total of 40 Collators, accounting for 16.2% of the total BNC circulation, including 16 active nodes and 24 candidate nodes.

Bifrost parachain block speed and network operation are stable, and has launched the #67 referendum proposal to increase the number of active Collators from 16 to 32.

According to the proposal, if the proposal is successfully passed, the top 32 nodes with total bonded volume will become active Collators. At the same time, in order to ensure the stability and reward of active nodes, after the number of active Collator seats is increased to 32, the proposal to increase the number of active Collator seats to 64 will not be initiated in the short term.
