📌The Turkish lira fell to its lowest level in history after Erdogan's statement

The Turkish lira fell against a basket of currencies and touched a record low against the US dollar. The Turkish president stated that there is a need to cut interest rates and that he had spoken with the central bank governor about it, which led to a strong drop in the lira. The Turkish lira is the worst-performing currency among the emerging economies this year, in light of the low confidence of traders in the decisions of the Central Bank

📌Why did US stock indices drop after positive economic data?

US stock indices fell yesterday after the release of the ISM manufacturing PMI data, which showed strong growth in the sector, increasing traders' concerns over the possibility of a rise in inflation and the US Federal Reserve beginning to reduce its stimulus programs. In turn, confidence in the stock markets declined, and indices fell following increased selling pressure, especially within the technology and health industries.

📌US dollar edges higher ahead of US jobs data
