Supreme Court orders no further felling of trees in 400 acres of forest land in Kancha Gachibowli in Telangana.
The matter was mentioned before the Supreme Court, and the court directed the Registrar (Judicial) of Telangana High Court's Registrar to forthwith visit the site and submit an interim report by 3.30 pm today.
Supreme Court says, “We direct the Chief Secretary of Telangana to ensure that until further order is passed by this court no further felling of trees be permitted in the Kancha Gachibowli forest.”
Supreme Court to hear case today at 3.45 pm. Supreme Court clarifies that it has not stayed the proceedings before the High Court.
