Scheme: Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency (MUDRA) Bank
Key Facts about the scheme : 1. The government proposes to set up MUDRA Bank through a statutory enactment.
Broad Objective : 1. This Bank would be responsible for regulating and refinancing all Micro-finance Institutions (MFI) which are in the business of lending to micro/small business entities engaged in manufacturing, trading and services activities.
2. The Bank would partner with state level/regional level co-ordinators to provide finance to Last Mile Financer of small/micro business enterprises.
Nodal Ministry and institutions : Ministry of Finance 1. Sum of Rs 20,000 crores would be allocated to MUDRA Bank from the money available from shortfalls of Priority Sector Lending
2. Another Rs 3,000 crore would be provided to the MUDRA Bank from the budget.

Scheme: PAHAL-Direct Benefits Transfer for LPG (DBTL) Consumers Scheme
Key Facts about the scheme : Under the scheme, the LPG consumer can now receive subsidy in his bank account by two methods. Such a consumer will be called CTC (Cash Transfer Compliant) once he joins the scheme and is ready to receive subsidy in the bank account.
Broad Objective : To send the subsidy money of LPG cylinders directly into the bank accounts of the consumers and increase efficiency and transparency in the whole system.

Key Facts about the scheme : 1. The prices of foodgrains specified under NFSA – Rs.3 per kg for rice, Rs.2 per kg for wheat and Re.1 per kg for coarsegrains.
2. The Central Government is thus providing highly subsidized foodgrains to about 80 crore beneficiaries in the country.
Broad Objective : 1. NFSA was enacted in 2013 and was being implemented in only 11 States/UTs in May, 2014.
2. During 2016, special attention was given for its implementation in remaining States/UTs.
3. To meet the expenditure incurred on intra-State movement of foodgrains and fair price shop dealers’ margins.
