Essay for the IFSCA Grade A 2023 Exam
Dear students, I have tried to cover all the possible themes through these essays, like corporate governance, climate change, fintech, women's empowerment, education, inflation, recession, sustainable development, artificial intelligence, etc.
But still, we can't be sure that an essay may directly come from this list, but if you have an idea about all these topics, then there must be 1-2 essays on which you can write sufficient content.
Remember, you don't need to be an expert in essay writing; even if you write it in simple language with a minimum of grammar and spelling mistakes, it will fetch you good marks, so practise writing.
Topic selection is also important; ultimately, a good essay on an average topic will likely fetch more marks than a bad essay on an exotic topic.

❇️RBI’s Green Deposits Framework
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a new framework to offer green deposits to the customers, aiming at developing a Green Finance Ecosystem (GFS) in India. The framework will come into effect from June 1, 2023. A green deposit refers to an interest-bearing deposit received by an RE (Regulated Entity) for a fixed period, with the proceeds earmarked for allocation towards green finance.
Applicability: The framework is applicable to Scheduled Commercial Banks, including Small Finance Banks, excluding Regional Rural Banks, Local Area Banks and Payments Banks and all deposit-taking Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), including Housing Finance Companies.
❇️ Green Deposit vs Green Finance vs Greenwashing vs Green Growth
✅ Green Deposit: Green Deposits are a type of financial instrument that allows individuals and institutions to invest their money in environmentally - friendly projects and initiatives. For example, a bank may offer a green deposit product that channels the funds deposited by customers towards financing renewable energy projects like solar or wind farms, rather than traditional fossil fuel projects.
✅ Green Finance: Green Finance refers to the practice of investing money in projects that have environmental benefits. It involves using financial instruments such as loans, bonds, and insurance policies to fund renewable energy, energy efficiency, and other sustainable initiatives. An example of Green Finance is a company issuing a Green Bond to finance a solar energy project, with the bond proceeds dedicated solely to the project.
✅ Greenwashing: Greenwashing refers to the practice of making misleading or false claims about the environmental benefits of a product or service in order to appeal to environmentally-conscious consumers. For example, a company may use "eco-friendly" or "green" marketing language to promote a product that has little to no environmental benefits or even harms the environment. This can be considered deceptive marketing and can mislead consumers into buying a product that does not align with their environmental values.
✅ Green Growth: Green Growth refers to economic growth that is achieved through sustainable and environmentally-friendly means. It involves creating new business opportunities, generating jobs, and improving standards of living while reducing carbon emissions and other negative environmental impacts. An example of Green Growth is the growth of the electric vehicle industry, which has created jobs and economic opportunities while reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

The new draft rule has reignited the long-running debate about Aadhaar-based eKYC (know-your-customer) procedures in the country. According to the Supreme Court’s judgment on Aadhaar of September 2018, private companies were effectively banned from using the biometric authentication system of Aadhaar.
The Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits, and Services) Act, 2016, provides that entities may seek to perform Aadhaar authentication for a prescribed purpose. The Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation, Knowledge) Rules, 2020, lay down such purposes for Aadhaar authentication.
According to official data, UIDAI records 70-80 million Aadhaar authentications every day. Over 1,000 direct benefit schemes — 720 from state governments and 318 from central government — use Aadhaar authentication services to avoid re-duplication and removal of ghost beneficiaries.

New York City topped a new list of the world’s wealthiest cities in 2023, with Japan’s Tokyo and Silicon Valley’s Bay Area claiming the second and third spots.
The list, compiled by London-based consultancy Henley & Partners, ranked the cities by taking into account the number of resident millionaires (rounded off to the neared 1o0) as of December 31, 2022.
It was dominated by cities in the United States and China — not one European city featuring in the top 10, with the exception of London.
Mumbai featured at 21st while Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad too found a mention.
Bengaluru got a special mention as one of the fastest-growing cities in the Asia Pacific. The report said: “Also known as the “Garden City” and the “Silicon Valley of India”, Bengaluru has a booming tech sector.”
As you know, these days in the Regulatory and Bank PO Exams, questions are very specific and require depth study of the newspaper, especially the business newspaper.
I'm already providing newspaper clips on a daily basis along with the Required Explanation, but there is no compilation of them for exam time reading, and in that sense, they hold no value if it can't be easily revised.
To address this issue, I'm working on this new PDF based on newspaper summaries, just like our PIB summary.
Specialty of the PDF: This PDF will be comprehensive in nature, which will not only give you info about news but also teach you various banking, business, and economics-related terms and at the same time provide enough content for descriptive writing.
Please spare some time to share your feedback and reviews, and if you have any suggestions for improving it,
Tatas a step closer to giving India its first homegrown iPhone maker
Wistron’s 2.2 million square-foot factory is located just over 50 kilometers east of Bangalore. If the acquisition goes through, Tata will take over all its eight iPhone lines, as well as the plant’s 10,000 workers, including a couple thousand engineers. Wistron would continue as a service partner for iPhones in India.
Government will be challenging the WTO panel’s ruling in the dispute settlement body and this would ensure that the order is kept in abeyance.
However, since the appellate body is non-functional since 2017 with its seven-member judges having retired and the United States blocking appointment of new members since then due to lack of consensus, the smartphone PLI scheme as well as the one on IT hardware will complete the five-year tenure with duty protection remaining intact.
SBI PO 2022-23 Final Result Out
Congratulations on becoming Banker to the Every Indian. Wish you best for All your future Endeavour.

ChatGPT, BARD etc. are Generative AI so what is Generative AI? It is also known as generative adversarial networks (GANs), is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that is used to generate new data, images, text, or other content. Unlike other types of AI, which are designed to recognize patterns and classify data, generative AI is designed to create new data that is similar to existing data.
The way generative AI works is by training two neural networks against each other. One network is known as the generator, and its job is to create new data that is similar to the training data it has been fed. The other network is known as the discriminator, and its job is to distinguish between the real data and the fake data created by the generator.
WPI eases to 29-month low of 1.34% in March on favorable base effect as the factory-gate inflation was 14.63 per cent in March 2022.
Reason: High base of Last Financial Year and the downtrend in wholesale prices of most essential commodities are the possible reasons of this decline.
Data released last week had shown retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), having fallen to a 15-month low of 5.66 per cent in March and below the 6 per cent upper tolerance limit of the RBI after remaining above it for two months, due to moderation in prices of most items, particularly in the food basket, and a base effect.

❇️ FAQs - I'm following your PIB PDF; do I need to read any other PDF, or does your PDF cover only programmes?
This is the common misconception but only the name of the PDF is PIB Summary PDF as it has been from start, but it covers the whole ESI Current Affairs and certain parts of general awareness.
It covers the whole of ESI current affairs: programmes, RBI/SEBI circulars, reports and indicators, some general awareness, and descriptive practise questions.
But there are few other sections in GA: news of banks apart from RBI and Regulatory Bodies, national, state, international, MoU, summits, appointments, orbatuaris, sports, etc.
This PDF doesn't cover these things, and for that, you will have to follow any other PDF, and 3–4 months of these updates would be sufficient. Source could be Affairs Cloud or Any Other PDF.
In recent exams, it has been seen that the major focus of the examiner is on banking updates, reports, circulars, and programmes, so it covers these things well, but as in RBI Grade B, there will be 80 questions from general awareness, so the examiner tries to ask questions from varied domains.

The Taylor rule was first proposed by economist John B. Taylor in 1993 to provide guidance to the U.S. Federal Reserve and other central banks for setting short-term interest rates based on economic conditions.
John Taylor proposes how Central Banks should alter interest rates in response to changes in economic conditions mainly inflation and economic growth or the unemployment rate.

Angel Tax refers to a tax that is imposed on funds received by startups from angel investors. Angel investors are individuals who invest their own money in small startups or early-stage companies, usually in exchange for a stake in the company.
Under the Angel Tax rule, the money received by startups from angel investors is treated as income, and is taxed at a rate of 30%. This tax is imposed on the excess amount of the startup's valuation over its fair market value.
For example, if a startup is valued at Rs. 1 crore and receives an investment of Rs. 1.5 crore from an angel investor, the excess amount of Rs. 50 lakhs would be taxed at 30% under the Angel Tax rule.
The Angel Tax has been a point of concern for startups in India as it can be challenging for them to justify their valuation to the tax authorities, leading to harassment and additional compliance costs.
These encouraging messages and compliments motivate you to work harder so that those who trust you with their goals get the success they desire.

The MPLAD scheme was formulated in 1993 to enable Members of Parliament (MPs) to recommend development works in their constituencies with emphasis on the creation of durable community assets based on the locally felt need.
Initially, the Scheme was under the control of the Ministry of Rural Development and Planning. In October, 1994, the scheme was transferred to the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation.
