✅ How to Prepare GA for RBI Grade B 2024 (Last year's Article, but all the suggestions are applicable for 2024)
This year's exam was held in July, and updates mainly from the last 4-6 months were asked, but in the Phase II exam there were questions from Reports from October 2022.
So, some of you may ask when to start reading GA, from October onwards, but leave SSC mentioned in the article; they Need to be covered for only 3–4 months before the exam, and that too mainly for GA.
Focus On Schemes, RBI and SEBI circulars, reports, and creating fodder materials on All the important burning topics in News.
This year, 2–15 markers were asked on reports, so while covering UN, WB, IMF, OECD, NITI, and RBI Reports, have 600–620 words of criteria in mind, and similarly, you may also be asked to write an answer on important flagship schemes of the government, so during preparation, take care of this thing.
Note: I, myself, will try to add 5–6 mains exam articles on burning topics in PIB magazine.

Many Messages on attempted more, Got Less in quantity and Reasoning.
Guys, remember, I said before the exam and even after that, in RBI Grade B, there is one more villain, which is "normalization.", Over the years, many have been victims of this, and you are not the first one.
Whats solution? Don't know.
Quant and Reasoning are those subjects where accuracy is almost 100%, but if someone, after attempting 20 questions in reasoning, gets 9, it's not his or her fault; it's because of normalization. Similarly, there may be students whose marks would have increased.
Many exams, especially bank PO Mains, have started being conducted in a single shift, so it's time the RBI also conducted Phase I in a single shift.
"Raise your voice, otherwise this will be same next year."
✅ RBI Grade B 2023 Phase I Cut off
Gen/EWS/OBC - 54.25
It was only about Sectional Cut off, the one who clears it get selected for phase II. Sectional Cut offs are same as 2022, it didn't go down. It must be the impact of second shift.

It was shared on 11th, February 2023.

I forgot to inform although I did say about it in Above video.
Today is the last day on which NABARD courses are available on old price. From 1st August, price for Descriptive (999) and Full Course (1499) will increase by 200 and PIB Course (499) by 100.
Why? Exams have delayed, so I will have to provide content for 3-4 more months than initially planned and also now we are covering things much more than initially planned. It takes lots of time in doing all these.
Hope you understand and provide the same love and support.
RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam Analysis 2023, Difficulty Level, Exam Review and Expected Cut off
RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam was held on 30 July 2023, and based on feedback from candidates and expert analysis, the paper was rated as Moderate to Difficult in terms of difficulty level. Watch to learn more about it.
https://youtu.be/mgC8-64kmWc
To All those who are feeling low after today's exam.
~Always expect the unexpected ~
Like today, I was not expecting my content and suggestions to work well in RBI Grade B, as afterall its RBI Grade B and since I have provided content for the first time, I shouldn't expect much from it. But the kind of response I'm getting can't tell how I feel because Phase II is known for Difficulty and most institutions provide 4000 pages of notes to claim 50 marks came from those 4000 pages, but I may have hardly provided more than 500 pages and 100+ marks came, so it's really a good feeling.
Similarly, you may be thinking, I didn't perform well, and everyone is saying they will be scoring this much, but believe me, last year in NABARD Phase II, after exam mang, people were claiming 40+ in Objective, but they didn't even clear Phase II Exam. The same happened in RBI Grade B 2022.
So, always expect the unexpected when it's a competitive exam.
Take a rest for 2 days and start for the next exam and interview side by side.
Good Luck.
RBI Grade B 2023 Phase II: Overall Exam Analysis
ESI - As usual Very Difficult, even 1 markers were difficult than Phase I GA (Said by students). Descriptive Questions are shared above you can check the difficulty.
FM - Easy to Moderate (Depends on how good you are in Management, which most people are) but the problem was in Objective they asked 4-5 questions on a single paragraph means if you don't know about the topic then you loose 10 marks and there were 3-4 such paragraphs. People are scoring well in it, as per the discussion with 30+ People.
English - Lengthy as usual.
Cut Off - Will tell you tomorrow, Although looks like this time even ESI descriptive specially 15 Marks were unexpected and even in FM there are few other factors, so cut off may be same or go down (Although things will be clear tomorrow with discussion with more and more people, when they reach home)
Expected Result: August last week probably
Thank you for All your love and support.
I wish all those who have put sincere efforts, should clear this exam.
I was expecting something Big from Climate Change and was continuously recommending to write on it.

✅ RBI Grade B 2024: Quant and Reasoning
All those who are only preparing for RBI Grade B and not other bank exams can follow this for Quant and Reasoning Ability.
As you know, without scoring sufficient marks (Sectional cutoff or at least 15% to 25% of marks), you can't give Phase II and can't realize the dream of becoming an RBI Grade B officer if RBI continues with this exam pattern and level of questions. No matter how good you are in Phase II subjects, if you don't get a chance to attempt them, then how could you show your knowledge?
So,
For QRE, or Only Quant and Reasoning, there are two ways, and most people are confused about which way to follow; some are suggesting CAT Exam books, some are Bank PO Mains, etc.; many people have many suggestions, and in the same way, I'm also sharing one way that may work, and I would also give you the logic behind it.
See, most of the CAT books, either Quantum CAT, Objective Arithmetic, Arun Sharma, Gautam Puri, or Nishit K. Sinha, can help you with covering the basics, but it may not be the case that similar pattern-based questions would be asked in the exam as books are for different purposes. These are the best books, but for RBI Grade B Prelim, I don't think you should follow them if you are not going to give Bank PO, SSC, CAT, etc., and the only purpose is to clear the sectional cutoff of RBI Grade B Prelim.
✅ What to do?
Buy a mock test like Olive or PM, or get the Bank PO Mains Level DI and Questions booklet (PDF) based on the latest pattern and latest edition (Checklist something).
I would suggest mock tests, as they keep getting updated based on the latest trends.
Step I: Make a list of Topics that need to be covered, watch this video for this https://youtu.be/wCjMgeNI57A (Don't leave the puzzle and at the same time try to master 2-3 types from where questions always come, like floor, flat, scheduling, circular, etc., whichever you find easy, but also learn the concepts of other types; may be some easier questions come from those types). Similarly, you also need not leave DI; this year, one DI in both shifts was doable, and maybe that's why the sectional cutoff didn't go down, but don't be selective in DI; learn all types and master a few types.
Step 2: Now watch videos of Bank PO Prelims, Mains Level Puzzles, DI, etc. There are some very good Educators in this domain, like Mains DI playlist on Learning Capsule by Harshal Agarwal, Studified by Ashish Arora, Banking Chronicle by Ankush Lamba, Meenakshi ma'am on Guidely (I haven't watched, some people's recommendations), Veteran, Career Definer and also the Team AVP, etc. If needed, you can enroll in their classes; most teachers are on Unacademy these days, although I'm not sure.
Follow their videos; I have already shared a List of videos for different topics here /channel/ibpsxam/27
Step 3: After learning the concept and solving some Level 1 and 2 PO Prelim level questions from the PDF, Daily Check List (Ashish Arora), or sectional Mock, you need to increase your level to solve advanced level questions to get ready for the RBI Grade B Prelim exam. For this mains level Mock test, and here with attempting, you don't think about marks but rather attempt it, submit it, and then solve all the questions. Initially, it may take 30 minutes to solve a puzzle, but you don't need to lose patience or think negatively of yourself, because I know people who didn't know the difference between a PM and a President initially, but later went on to clear the topmost exams. Just be consistent, and your only aim should be to learn and practice as much, so that you can clear the sectional cutoff.
Note: Now here is the most important part: there may be some people who would say Quant is clerk level or bla bla in different groups; they may be math geniuses, but you aren't, although you may be in some other subjects. You need to ignore such people and focus on your own preparation.

✅ RBI Grade B 2024: Suggestions for Newcomers
It's a normal human tendency that whenever we come across something really good, it feels tempting to ace that new thing. You can understand it through this example: when you have a crush on some girl or guy, you want him or her at any cost. The same applies here as well.
Don't only day dream about becoming RBI officer rather you will have to understand that the journey to reach RBI is very daunting and it is full of ups and down, you will have consistently prepare for it for next 6-8 months; you can't clear RBI Grade B 2024 by only thinking about it or by buying some or many courses, or by downloading pdfs from all over the telegram.
You will have to follow the step-by-step process, and jumping any step will only take you away from your destination.
✅ What are the suggestions?
Step 1: Self-understanding of the exam (Knowing What to do): You will have to create your own understanding of the whole exam process. I always say competitive exams rented knowledge se clear nai hota. The moment you have an understanding of the exam, you will start relating it to many things, and things will become easier for you.
Step 2: Figuring out about sources (How to do it): If you ask 10 people, 7 will tell you about completely different sources, and many times they haven't even read anything from those sources; they are recommending them because someone recommended these to them or they heard about them from someone else. Also, Every institute claims their course is the best, Including me, but you will have to figure out if you really need coaching or if you can do it by self-study, or what type of content you want, like whether you need videos to study or if you can cover it through non-videos (PDFs only), and what are the best 1-2 books that could be utilized per subject. What are the sources of current affairs, programs, etc.?
Step 3: Planning (When to read what?): This part is very important; once you figure out sources, you don't need to collect PDFs or any random materials. You just need to stick to whatever you have decided. In this step, you need to plan your day according to the time available to you. Don't just jump to Summary or notes pdfs; they limit your scope of learning. Exams have evolved; you wouldn't be able to write answers by reading summary PDFs.
Step 4: Execution, Analysis, and Modification: This is the most difficult stage, as here you will have to chase down your crush (RBI). Remember, no plan is perfect; you will have to analyze your performance every 15 days or on a monthly basis to see if whatever you have decided is something you are able to complete as well as how much learning you have had in that duration.
Step 5: Don't Run Behind exams; First get ready for them. You have 6-8 months for next exam, a well consistent preparation will make you ready for it, otherwise the story will be same.
"Consistency is the Key to success"
I'm sure only 2–3% of people will seriously follow this; I have been writing these posts for the past 3–4 years. But even if only five People followed, still I would feel, it was worth typing.
Note: Please don't ask me questions like which coaching to follow or how to prepare; I will share a new updated RBI Grade B 2024 simplified pdf in the coming days that will address everything.

RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam Analysis 2023, Difficulty Level, Exam Review and Expected Cut off
List of How many Questions Asked from my Study Materials with detailed Review.
✅ RBI Grade B 2023 Phase III (Interview)
Suggestion: No matter how good you perform in Phase II, you will have to give your best One final time in Interview process.
Problem with RBI Interview is that, here marks varies from 1-75 and if taken seriously then all the hard work that you did in last 6 months get wasted in those 10-12 min of interviews.
So what to do,
- If confident about Phase II performance then take a rest for 2-3 Days and then start reading original documents of Annual Report, Currency and Finance Report, FSR June 2023 and make notes of key points.
- Last 6 months Speech on RBI website (Only Topics related to syllabus and see what RBI Is doing and what are the discussions these days)
- Initiatives of RBI From the Covid - 19 times, cover all also major committee in last 2 years
- AI/ML, CBDC and Fintech - These days in most interview they are asking Role of AI, so read about CBDC, AI/ML in central Banking and banking industry as a whole.
- Also read one Bussines Newspaper Daily, Read Opinions and Explainers on burning topics.
- You can also collect transcripts of 2019, 2021 and 2022. (2019 is available in media section, search you will find).
- Also take help from people already working in RBI, like few officers have created Telegram channels (like Vision RBI) of their own, you can ask for help from them. There is one guy who also has lots of experience in interview guidance for RBI (Shivam).
That's all for now, Good Luck, Wish you all best, hope you clear it.
BIG5 and ONDC was not only covered as Question multiple times but also provided detailed content and also Covered ONDC in PIB Summary in detail as well as BIG5 in 100 Model Answers Part I PDF,
Answers on Big5 was also provided under in model answers of 3rd Weekly Mock Test.
Similarly, Retail Direct Scheme was covered in RBI/SEBI Circulars PDF but the challenge mat have been to write 600 words, I won't lie, the amount of content provided by me on this in recent times (2023) was not sufficient enough to write 600 Words, although back in 2021 when Modi had launched, I had covered it in detail but I don't think that would be counted.
- UPI and Financial Inclusion as well as Initiatives on Rupay UPI Credit cards have been covered well (Moderate, Question has been asked based on mixed information)
- Henry Fayol (Covered in Management Sheet and also given as Question but not provided any model answer on it)
- Code of Conduct (Not covered anywhere)
Economics and Social Issue Descriptive Answer Writing Questions
If I talk about my Content on these Topics then a 15 Marks Question on UNDP report was from October 2022 and at that time I was not covering Reports and Indices in my PIB so that's a shocker and bouncer.
Currency and Finance Report - Covered in Detail. (From Most recommended list)
Monetary Policy - Covered (Easy, Covered)
Poverty And Employment Scheme (Easy, Covered)
World Migration Report - Only report has been covered but question was based on it not directly on it.
Challenges by Start - Up (Could be answered as sufficient information has been provided on start up topic)
Word Limit in Descriptive Answer Writing: Descriptive me word limit 600-620 thi and 400-420 ( Means at the place of giving Exact word limit.
They had given a range, IBPS had tested this in recently held IBPS PO Mains English descriptive there also range was given).
In this type you can't exceed the word limit means you can't type more than 620 words.
5*2 = 10 Marks in FM MCQs ( From this 2021 Circular)
