❇️ NABARD Grade A 2023 Prelims Exam Analysis - First Shift

Overall Paper was on expected trend except the ARD section which was Difficult than last year.

✅Merit Section:

ESI - Around 25+ questions were from Schemes although mostly flagship and known one barring a few. If you have command over the schemes then you can score 22-25 marks otherwise even scoring 15-16 marks would be difficult. Believe me similar trend will be in mains, it will be again dominated by Schemes and ARD Static.

ARD - Dominated by ARD Static Questions (around 25-26) and the paper was difficult than last year because of static, it also had 7-8 questions from Schemes and some factual questions. The one who have command over ARD Static can score 18-20 but for others it could 12-15 marks.

General Awareness - Same like other bank exam, IBPS has asked random questions which is not directly current affairs rather related affairs of current news. 10-12 would a good attempt.

Cut off based on Merit Section - 40-45 means +/-2 compared to last year Gen Cut off.

✅ Non Merit Section:-

Computer Awareness - Once again it will be decider for many, good attempt would be 8-10.

Reasoning - Lengthy but Doable.

DM - A mix of logical and Theoretical Questions. 4-5 questions could be solved through general understanding and logics.

Quant and English - Same as last no surprises, sectional could be cleared by most.

Note: This is based on the review shared a friend, who has experience of 3 consecutive interviews in NABARD. I will update it with further discussions with other experienced students.

IMF on October 10 made an upward revision in its fiscal year 2023-24 growth forecast for India. The country is likely to grow at 6.3 percent, instead of 6.1 percent as projected in the previous forecast, it said.

Earlier, the World Bank on October 3 retained India's growth forecast at 6.3 percent, citing the robust services activities. In September, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) also predicted India to grow at 6.3 percent in the forecast released last month.

That's why I always say, if you belong from EWS and OBC category and are eligible for the benefits then you should have your certificate ready once the new financial year commence means in April or May mostly, based on the latest Income Certificate of your parents, this way you won't have last minute hurdles and you can fill the application smoothly rather than wasting time in getting certificates ready just before exam or when the notification comes out.

Note: For SC/ST, you don't need to create certificates yearly, sometimes format changes and in that case based on your old certificate you can make new one very easily.

✅Why Starting Early is Important for any Exams?

It basically gives you first mover advantage and bring you at par with those people who have already prepared for it in previous year. Read the Following benefits of starting early for RBI Grade B, NABARD Grade A, Bank PO or any exam:-

I. More time to learn and understand the material: The more time you have to study, the better you will be able to understand the material and retain the information.

II. Reduced stress and anxiety: Starting early for exam will give you more time to prepare and revise syllabus, which can help to reduce exam time stress and anxiety. When you feel less stressed and anxious, you will perform well on the exam.

III. Improved time management skills: Starting early preparation will give you more time to plan your study sessions and to learn how to manage your time effectively among different activities and even with devoting 3-4 hours and completing Daily Checklist, you can achieve success.

IV. More opportunities to get help: If you start studying early, you will have more opportunities to get help from teachers, YouTube or classmates if you need it. Basically you would dig into topics to understand it better and try ti relate it rather than just cramming. This could also be helpful if you are struggling with a particular topic or concept.

V. Better understanding of your strengths and weaknesses: When you start preparing early, you will have more time to identify your strengths and weaknesses in the subject matters. This will allow you to focus your study time on the areas where you need the most improvement.

- I always say "don't run behind exams, rather get ready for it first" , because once you start giving exams without preparation, there is no coming back.

- Give 4 - 6 months on making your basics strong rather than running behind Mock etc, once you are done with subject matter by solving appropriate no of chapter wise questions, you would automatically perform well in Mock and ultimately in exam.

If you are looking for Guidance and Mentorship for RBI Grade B 2024, then register for my course which is based on weekly checklist to make you consistent with your preparation.

NABARD Grade A in 2 Days

So basically, there are two more days to go for the NABARD Grade A Prelims, for which some of you may be waiting from February onwards and some from the last 4-5 months. I hope you all have done sufficient things to clear the Prelims exam. Make sure you revise everything well, especially factual information, in these last 2 days.

I remember my last three attempts and how the feeling was, sometimes I used to get overwhelmed after seeing a good performance in a mock test and sometimes I feared about not being able to clear sectional cut off and different feelings like what if I'm not able to manage time, what if I forget all the things I have remembered, what if they ask questions from areas that I haven't covered well, and so on.

But believe me, if you have done things honestly, no matter what, you will be able to clear the preliminary exam because here you don't need to score 80/100, but rather perform better than others and cut offs have been low in last 2 years based on difficulty level. Also barring a few, most people have these feelings, so everyone is at the same level of insecurities.

My suggestion to you is that the NABARD Grade A Exam not only test your knowledge but also your time management and survival skills, because here you need to perform well in 3 subjects, survive in 5 subjects, and manage well all 8 subjects in 120 minutes.

Another suggestion is that, as you know, the Mains exam is scheduled to be held on November 19, so you have just 30 days, and that also includes Durga Puja, Diwali means 25 days of serious preparation, but I feel that if you are not confident about your performance in the exam, you wait for the result to come to start your preparation seriously, and more than 50% of people come in this category, so the competition in Mains is already 50% because these people may not get time for descriptive practice, answer writing, mock tests, etc. So make sure you don't lie on the boundary line, but rather perform well enough to feel confident about the exam and start your phase II preparation 1-2 days after the phase I exam.

Thank you..... GOOD LUCK

Which is Most Important thing for RBI Grade B 2024 Preparation?

I would say nothing beats consistency or Perseverance, as this is single thing you need most during the whole preparation for next 7-8 months. No matter how much planning you do, no matter how many courses you buy, no matter how mann topper's strategy and success story video you watch, if you lack consistency in your preparation all these will go in vain.

Consistency is also most important for beginners, means those who are preparing for first time, because let's suppose this week I completed 2 chapters of Management and then next week I didn't read anything, it's obvious that I would forget most things and I may have to start again. Many a times students after doing preparation for a month loose track or motivation, and get busy with something else and then again start after some time, but I believe this Preparation - Break - Preparation - Break cycle would never give you confidence of having command over syllabus, you would always feel something is missing or left.

You need to complete the whole syllabus once, have your notes ready for static portion, do revision, practice some questions, attempt few Mock test. You need to do all these in one go and then even if you leave preparation for a month, it wouldn't be an issue, you can start anytime and after certain amount of revision of your notes you would be able to recall most things.

✅ What is required for consistency?

I would say determination to do better, or determined to achieve your goal.

✅ How to achieve consistency?

You can train yourself to complete daily checklist, these checklist should be created on that day based on the availability of time and you need to make sure you complete all the targets no matter what.

✅ Read - Revise - Perform ✅

Note: I will post a video soon on checklist and share Excel Sheet which can help you guys in this regard.

Thank you...
