It really wouldn't surprise me if it was one of the three being the RC church, the COFE or the US churches.
Читать полностью…If I have time I will do some digging at the weekend as if it donations from outside the UK and coming from the USA then you could be looking at US State Dept funding or one of their front NGO's in the same way that Fordham University is funded and GOD TV and many Ecumenist movements.
Читать полностью…If I'm not mistaken, non gift aid donations are either outside of the UK, or the donor has not paid tax/has not filed that it's a donation in their tax report.

I'm getting curious now where the $$$ is coming from now that would be an interesting link between Alpha Course and the US State Dept.

As part of their formation Serbian children learn to recite a specific poem that relates the part of St Sava's life when as a prince he rejected the path of worldly power and chose against his father's wishes to go to Mount Athos and become a monk. His father initially sent soldiers to retrieve him before relenting. Eventually both of St Sava's parents became monastics, with the father joining him in Mount Athos. The father is buried in the main church of Hilandar Monastery on Mount Athos and out of his tomb sprang a vine that is fruit-bearing to this day. It's grapes are known to help couples who are not able to have children. Interestingly many Muslims have over the centuries turned to the monastery for help in this regard.
