At this point parents should be proactively asking the school for their teaching plans on the topic. Not trying to berate your parents, just emphasising that these days you don't give schools the benefit of the doubt as a default.

We should be aware that no-one has to do it. As Oswald said, the children or their parents can opt out. Anyone that wants to can take a stand. The problem is that the majority are spiritually dead as far as discerning things that were obvious to anyone not so long ago.

Greetings my brothers in Christ, thankyou for your input and comments, exactly the same thoughts as myself. My priest agreed too, I will myself go to the school head and let her hear my thoughts and firmly but politely instruct that my child will not be attending for any reason.

Yeah I totally agree. My parents are quite laxidazy when it comes to matters of "our" meaning my brother and I's personal opinion. I respect their ways and they respect mine, the only reason I was opted out is because I asked my parents to opt me out after they told me. My brother isn't religious at all and is more of just a "typical scouse lad".
