‼️Elon Musk emailed Twitter staff this week saying they must commit to his 'hardcore' vision for the company. Failing to do so by 5 p.m. ET on Thursday meant they'd receive three months' severance, he said. Twitter was forced to clarify to staff that Musk's email wasn't a phishing attempt, per The WSJ.

‼️The tech sector has laid off 120,000 workers in 2022, including huge layoffs at Meta and Amazon. As tech companies' stock has slumped, Wall Street now has leverage over companies. Investors are calling for more cuts, saying firms could make the same amount with far fewer people.

💼 Kristine Valenzuela was recently hired as an executive assistant to Atlassian's head of engineering. She said on a recent podcast that she'd had to prove her leadership skills throughout her career. She said she achieved this by approaching people to help and sharing her knowledge of the business.
