Hmm, interesting, did not know that was happening back then.

Never actually had anyone tell me you could install microG components as user apps on crd earlier, I just assumed they brought the LOS patches after they shipped their implementation like most LOS forks.

I tried the newest roms EvoX, InfinityX and so on but the responsivness sucks.
The thing is no one is building for A10-A11 for my device and be active.

Redmi Note 8 (gingko) not maintained.
Redmi Note 7 still active.
Redmi Note 4 (mido) and has better maintainers for latest Android.

I will reverse the question.
Why they choose to build the latest Android version for a device that can't handle it?
The sweet spot was A13 until ArrowOS and PixelExperience shutdown.
I try A14 and A15 and the responsivness sucks. Only A10-A11 is for ginkgo but no one import the newest security updates or maintaining activily.
But for CarbonOS i dont know for other devices...

They picked it earlier from the los gerrit for A11 but Alex backported the microg patches to A10 and iirc I also applied the crd user workaround
I assume lineageos microg and christian also did it differently, but whatever works is fine ig

I would guess "probably", but I'm not a coder.

Given that LOS had no support whatsoever for appsig spoofing, I'd think their current implementation is "complete".

But you'll also have to add the changes as of 2024-12 for the new sig checking tactic. One sec.

In response to a question a little while ago about dealing with spam with the Rose bot, the developer basically said the solution was “find a platform that actually cares about spam”… 😐

And I don’t think Paul was trying to be a wise-ass about it, I interpret it as meaning that he’s probably been pressing them on the matter and has gotten nowhere as well.
