👉🏻Fundamental duties
➖India borrowed the concept of Fundamental duties from the constitution of USSR.
➖Fundamental duties were added by the 42nd Constitutional Amendment Act, 1976 upon the recommendation of Sardar Swaran Singh committee.
➖Part IV A of the Indian Constitution deals with Fundamental Duties.
➖There were 10 fundamental duties originally but now there are 11 fundamental duties. 11th Fundamental Duty was added by the 86th Amendment in 2002.

Why is an interim budget?
👉🏻 In an election year (2024 is an election year), the incumbent Government cannot present a full Budget (Article 112) as there may be a change in the executive after the polls. Hence, the need for an interim budget.
👉🏻 As there is no constitutional provision for an interim budget, the Centre can choose to seek the Lower House’s approval for the funds required for the transition period (April-July) till the new government presents a full Budget— via the votes on account provision.
