Reuters has a story out suggesting as many as eight Republican senators might not vote for Tulsi Gabbard as DNI, but of course, the sources "declined" to name who those senators might be.
I've checked with actual sources inside the Senate and they tell me this story is garbage. They all affirmed that Tulsi is likely to get through with 50-52 GOP votes PLUS any Dems who might support her like Bernie or Fetterman.
But you see, this is the DC playbook: Plant a story to sow doubt, use anonymous sources to do it, and astroturf a negative news cycle in hopes of forcing out someone the war machine fears.
Until a GOP Senator is willing to put his or her name behind it — and risk a primary challenge — it's FAKE NEWS.

In a huge win for Argentina's populist leader Javier Milei, the country has already beaten the recession triggered by his cuts to government spending, and is now growing at a dramatic 3.9% pace. It's ridiculous that our press or government give even one second of consideration to countries like Venezuela refusing to "take back" their illegal immigrants.
If Venezuela won't let our planes land to return migrants, then the solution is simple: A 100% tariff on all trade, and dumping their citizens offshore in a rowboat. America isn't a dumping ground for whatever the rest of the planet doesn't want.

Tremaine Carroll is a lifelong criminal and biological male. After California passed a law requiring inmates to be housed in prisons based on their "gender identity," Carroll abruptly declared that he was a woman, and got himself transferred to a women's prison. Last January, he was accused of raping two women there.
Now, a California judge says that the prosecutor must refer to Carroll by "she/her" pronouns. Presumably, witnesses will also have to testify that "she" assaulted them with "her" penis.
California is a state at war with woman and with reality.

President Trump says he would consider pardoning New York City Mayor Eric Adams:

BREAKING: George Stephanopoulos and ABC are forced to apologize to President Trump and pay $15 million to settle a defamation suit.
Trump filed a defamation suit against Stephanopoulos after the anchor and former Democrat operative asserted that Trump was found "liable for rape" during an interview with with Rep. Nancy Mace in March.
After playing a clip, Stephanopoulos said: "You've endorsed Donald Trump for president. Judges and two separate juries have found him liable for rape and for defaming the victim of that rape."
Stephanopoulos was alluding to accuser E. Jean Carroll, a case in which she couldn't remember the year the alleged "assault" took place, and for which New York State passed a one-year law extending the statute of limitations so the case could proceed during an election year.
Stephanopoulos repeated that "rape" claim ten times during the contentious interview with Mace, despite the fact that a jury actually determined Trump was liable for "sexual abuse," in a civil case, not rape, which holds a clear legal distinction in New York.
Legacy media down hard.

There are a lot of cynical takes here, and they might be true, but there's a more optimistic take. A theme I've heard directly from Silicon Valley folks over the past few months is a realization Democrats have made their lives miserable for years. They're relieved. They know Trump will be good for their businesses, and he loves American companies. They are optimistic.
They're either lying, or there is legitimately a broad, red-pilling of tech. I hope it's the later.
NYT: "Every year, millions of Americans [move] from one state to another. But there are patterns in this chaos, and one of the clearest in recent decades is that Americans are moving from blue states to red states. ... Over the past 20 years, nine million more people migrated from blue to red than in the other direction."
Blue states are failing. Conservative states are the future.
