🗣Liam Delap:
“You have your ups and downs and I’ll never regret doing anything because it just shapes me as a person. I learned so much from Chelsea. Sometimes you learn and benefit more when things aren’t going well…”
“Obviously it’s a bit rubbish going to train away from the [Chelsea] group, but I think I’ve got really good people around me…”Читать полностью…

This is heartbreaking… Kendry Páez on the bench for Chelsea U21s has been a familiar sight this season. 💔
2-3 years ago, he was seen as one of the biggest gems in world football. Since joining Chelsea things just haven’t fallen into place.
Loans at River Plate and Strasbourg didn’t work out and he was given limited minutes. This year he’s found himself playing in the PL2.
People forget he’s only 19 and he was backed to make an impact similar to Estevao. Such a fun baller to watch… admins expecting a big comeback soon. 💙🔜
‼️🇪🇸 While Xabi Alonso had been using his second-choice goalkeeper in the Carabao Cup, Teddy Sharman-Lowe, 23, is not expected to get the nod at Liverpool next midweek.
🇧🇪 Sources suggest Penders will keep his place with that trip to Anfield used to give him additional game time while Martinez is sidelined until at least after the next international break in November.
In his very first week at Chelsea, Mike Penders was surprised. He was struggling to keep hold of shots in training. They were faster and more precise than those he was used to facing. That did not spark a crisis of confidence in the young man from the sleepy village of Uikhoven in Maasmechelen, however.
Rather, Penders told himself it was good - proof he needed to work harder if he wanted to succeed at Premier League level. He agreed a season on loan at Strasbourg would help, with the standard in France better than Belgium and a good bridge towards England.

🗣 Ex Chelsea forward Scott Sinclair thinks Estevao should go out on loan:
“As a young player, all you want to do is play football. In my experience, having been on loan six times during my spell at Chelsea, you just want to be playing for your parent club. But when you aren't, you have to go out on loan to gain experience and game time”
“The longer you go without playing, the less match-fit you become, which makes it even harder to get into the side when an opportunity arises and that leads to doubt.”
“Only Estevao can decide what is best for him, but because he is so young, getting consistent game time is essential and having been in the same position, I’d say he should go and play.”Читать полностью…
🚨🔵 Sources close to the Alex Scott situation now say that Bournemouth's stance has softened slightly.
Bournemouth would consider selling Scott in January if they were to receive an offer ‘in the region of £100m’.
It is also dependant on Bournemouth's position in the Premier League table - if they are fighting relegation, with Marco Rose's side having a tricky start, they are less inclined to do business.

🗣Trevoh Chalobah when asked if leaving Chelsea was difficult:
“Definitely. The team didn’t achieve what we wanted to achieve last season, but I thought I had one of my best seasons, playing the most games and scoring a few goals.”
“I wanted to be a legend there, but sometimes the way we plan things is not how things work out. As footballers, you’ve always got to be ready to adapt…Chelsea means everything to me. I’m still watching the games, keeping in contact with the players and staff.”Читать полностью…
⁉️ Is Courtois the best GK you have coached?
🇵🇹🗣 José Mourinho :
"If I say he is the best, Julio Cesar will call me in 2 minutes, saying that he won me the UCL at Inter."
"All I can say is that Cech is the best GK in Premier League history, and when Courtois arrived at Chelsea, being 20 years old, he became the starter, and we won the PL with him."Читать полностью…

🗣 Ashley Young on Jordan Henderson being more than a “cheerleader” at Chelsea:
“When I played with Jordan Henderson for England, his voice and character stood out. It was a shouting match. I’d talk non-stop, and he’d talk non-stop."
“His move to Saudi Arabia felt like semi-retirement, and a lot of people thought, ‘Ah, that’s it.’"
“But Jordan won’t be thinking that, because I know him. He’s joined a young Chelsea squad, and he won’t just see himself as a father figure. He’ll be thinking, ‘I’m going to play.’"
“People can doubt me and say I’m an elder statesman who can’t do this anymore. But that’s the fuel he needs. That’s the type of person he is."
“You put him in the team, and you see Chelsea climbing the table again.”Читать полностью…
🏴🗣Morgan Rogers names Ozil, Pogba & Neymar as his inspirations:
“I liked the fact they’d still go out there and be the same versions of themselves, I always used to like the people that people used to hate on because I felt like once they came out and did the same thing again and again, people didn’t like it because it was so easy and effortless to them.”Читать полностью…
🚨🔵 There are some within Chelsea who are not overly fond of comparing the two. They think it heaps unnecessary pressure on ‘Big Mike’.
They accept the comparisons are inevitable, however. Both are 6ft 7in left-footers with large wingspans.
There is a reason why Mike Penders asked Chelsea for the No39 shirt. It is a nod to 1939, the year his grandfather and biggest supporter, Nico Smeets, was born.

🗣Bournemouth owner Bill Foley on Scott:
"We'd love to have Alex stay here and sign a new contract and we're still working on it. We haven't given up, but sometimes players get stars in their eyes, and they think that Chelsea is the right place to go."Читать полностью…
‼️🇧🇪 Ask those inside Chelsea and, after preaching patience, they will hail Penders’ potential as ‘huge'. One senior source even described his ceiling as 'absolutely elite'.
