The Mephisto is the rarest tank in the world.
The Germans built only 20 A7V Sturmpanzerwagen tanks, only one has survived to this day under the number 506, which was named "Mephisto".
The 506th was decorated with an image of a red smiling Mephistopheles, with a British tank at hand. It also had a German black and white cross on it.
Mephisto received his first baptism of fire at the Battle of Saint-Quentin on March 21, 1918. The second operation with his participation took place in Villers-Bretonneux on April 24, 1918 and turned out to be his last. During the offensive, the tank got stuck in a shell crater, where the Australians found it.
During transportation to Australia, a special crane had to be built in the port for this monster. The captured tank set foot on Australian soil in 1919 and went to the Brisbane Museum in Queensland. Along the way, its tracks cut the road, and the sides damaged several buildings.
The image of Mephistopheles, who terrified enemies, has not survived to this day.

Just found out that in pre production for Raiders of the Lost Ark, Spielberg wanted the part of Toht to be a cyborg SS officer with a mechanical arm that had like guns in it and stuff. George Lucas nixed it saying it was too far fetched. While Ronald Lacey's portrayal was good I feel like we've been robbed.
