Given the recent market activity, we are temporarily pausing USDC:USD conversions over the weekend while banks are closed. We have also reversed any pending USDC conversions at this time.

Conversions rely on USD transfers from the banks that clear during normal banking hours. These transfers are not available over the weekend. When banks reopen open Monday, we plan to re-enable conversions. In the interim, you may withdraw your USDC at your discretion and your funds remain safe.

👨‍⚖️ On September 22, the CFTC issued an order imposing a $250,000 fine against the founders of Ooki DAO. The order contained 3 basic lessons for DAO founders:

1. AML/KYC is very real
2. Wrap that DAO
3. Seek counsel

Unless the people you work with are living saints, or you are certain you will never offend anyone or raise any regulatory scrutiny, perhaps putting a legal wrapper on your DAO is worth the effort.

We do not perform any actions with users’ funds unless explicitly authorized by the user, and we hold all user assets dollar for dollar (or BTC for BTC as the case may be). User funds are available for withdrawal at any time. We are working on a Proof-of-Reserves to provide further transparency.
