It's already Friday, dear members, and on Fridays, we always share something about Islam, inshallah, today about “the moment of death, and what will happen to every soul”
🕌 Angels and Questions
The first night in the grave is considered a moment of significant trial for a human being. According to authentic Hadiths, two angels, Munkar and Nakir, will visit the deceased and ask the three questions about their faith and life.
The questions include:
- "Who is your Lord?"
- "What is your religion?"
- "Who is this man that was sent among you?" (referring to the Prophet Muhammad, piece and blessings upon him)
🛡️Steadfast and lived by the rules of Allah
For those who were steadfast in their faith, these questions will be easy to answer. The authentic Hadith describes that for them, the grave becomes spacious and filled with light, a sign of a good final destination. But don’t think you can answer this questions by just learning the answers, because it’s not your mouth that will talk! You can’t answer it by “knowing” the answers, only if you lived by the rules of Allah you are able to answer.
🙏Trial and Punishment
For those who doubted or strayed from the path of faith, these answers are impossible to answer. The Hadith describes that for these individuals, the grave can become constricted, causing physical discomfort, a sign of the trials or punishments to come.
🌸 Comfort and Light
For the believer, the first night in the grave also brings comfort. It is said that a window to paradise is opened, allowing the deceased to experience peace and serenity. This experience depends on the individual's deeds and faith during their life.
🔀 The “Barzak”
The barzak is the life where every soul waits until the day of judgement, it’s the life between this world and the hereafter. If you lived your life the way Allah asked us to live, this barzak will be very comfortable, if not, this time in the “barzak” will be very hard!
