🕌 Friday Message to Members
It's already Friday, dear members, and on Fridays, we always share something about Islam, inshallah, today “the not-obligated prayers” and their huge rewards.
1️⃣ Umm Habibah Ramlah bint Abu Sufyan, the mother of the believers, narrated that she heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "A house will be built in Paradise for every Muslim who performs twelve Rak'ahs (units) of voluntary (Sunnah) prayers in addition to the obligatory prayers during the day and evening, to please Allah." 🕌 (Muslim)
These twelve units of voluntary (Sunnah) prayers, according to the imams an-Nasa'i and at-Tirmidhi, are two units before the obligatory morning prayer (Fajr), four units before and two units after the Dhuhr prayer, two units after the obligatory evening prayer (Maghrib), and two Rak'ahs after the obligatory night prayer (Isha). 🌙
2️⃣ Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "My friend (the Prophet, peace be upon him) advised me to perform three acts and I will not abandon them until I die: 📿
1. Fasting three days in every (Islamic) month;
2. Performing the Duha prayer;
3. Performing the Witr prayer before sleeping." (Bukhari and Muslim)
3️⃣ Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The two units of prayer before the morning prayer (Fajr) are better than the world and everything in it." 🌍 (Muslim)
4️⃣ Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) also narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was never more regular and strict in performing a voluntary prayer than the two units before the Fajr prayer. 🌟 (Bukhari and Muslim)
5️⃣ Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever guards the four units before the Dhuhr prayer and two Rak'ahs after; Allah will forbid him the Hellfire (i.e., protect him from it)." 🔥 (Abu Dawood and at-Tirmidhi)
6️⃣ The Witr prayer should be the last prayer of the night. Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Make Witr your last prayer at night." 🌙 (Bukhari and Muslim)
7️⃣When entering the mosque, one should perform two Rak'ahs before sitting down. Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you enters a mosque, he should perform two Rak'ahs before sitting down." 🕌 (Bukhari and Muslim)
9️⃣ Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to Bilal: "Tell me about the most beloved action you have performed in the name of Islam. For I heard your footsteps before me in Paradise." He (Bilal) said: "There is no action more beloved to me than to perform a certain number of Rak'ahs at any time of the day or night after performing Wudu'." 🛐 (Bukhari and Muslim)
The Duha prayer is a voluntary (Sunnah) prayer that can consist of two, four, six, or eight units and is performed after the sun has risen until before the time for the Dhuhr prayer. ☀️
