It's already Friday, dear members, and on Fridays, we always share something about Islam, inshallah, today something about “Roqya“.
❓What is Roqya?
Roqya is a healing method from Islam, a very important one. It is often thought that this is something very complicated to do and many Muslims look for a "raqie" who can do this for them. While the very best roqya comes from the person in need themselves. It is always Allah who heals and roqya is nothing more than a permitted "reason", so avoid looking for a "raqee" but just do this yourself with a pure intention, because no one has a purer intention to help you than you!
How to do it
- Preparation:
- Fill a bottle/basin/bucket with water, almost to the brim. 🚰
- Intention:
- Awaken the intention in your heart that you are going to make ruqyah water. ❤️
- Recitation Method:
- Place your lips almost against the surface of the water, so that your lips just don't touch the water. 💧
- Read Surah Al-Fatiha 7 times and blow (kind of blowing but with the tongue) three times into the water. 📖💨
- You can also choose to blow three times after each verse, or a couple of verses; there are various methods. 🔄
- Additional Surahs:
- Read Surah Al-Ikhlas (Qul huwa Allahu ahad) 3 times and blow three times into the water after each surah or after each verse or couple of verses. 📖💨
- Read Surah Al-Falaq (Qul a'udhu bi-rabbil-falaq) 3 times and blow three times into the water after each surah or after each verse or couple of verses. 📖💨
- Read Surah An-Nas (Qul a'udhu bi-rabbin-nas) 3 times and blow three times into the water after each surah or after each verse or couple of verses. 📖💨
- Read Ayat al-Kursi (Allahu la ilaha illa huwa) 3 times and blow three times into the water. 📖💨
- You can also recite extra verses, surahs, or duas over the water like Ayat al-Sihr if you want.
- Usage:
- Drink daily. 🥤
- You can wash yourself with it. 🚿
- You can do wuduw with it
- Storage:
- Room temperature or in the refrigerator. ❄️
- Suitable for:
- All ages; 👶👵
- Pregnant women; 🤰
