Pic is just a sample, we are having around 400 machine in this unknown status for monthly patch updates for workstations. Earlier it was 300. tried almost all solutions discussed in sccm forums but no hope. 150 + are showing online . Same figure repeating on every month. could someone plz help here

Our server patching via SCCM showing very low compliance. We have almost all versions starting from 2008,R2,2012,R2,2016 etc.
Some good numbers are always there in 'Inprogress' state under deployment status. I suspect this because of insufficient maintenances window specified, currently it's only 20 hrs for each month. If we take patch compliance of past months like 5 months back they all r giving good compliance rate but for the very last month it's showing low compliance.
Any input here is highly appreciated
Not really true, there is %temp%\patchdownloader.log for the user initiated downloads - however ADRs also create it either in System %temp% or in ConfigMgr agent\Logs folder.

Patch download log executes when downloading updates manually to a package..when ADR runs and download updates, it can only be seen in ruleengine log

What is your sccm version? There was a known issue with 1910 build i think but was fixed with 2010. Specific application download failing only ?
