Some thoughts on Nvidia after reading stratechery:

First Order Effects
- inference usage skyrockets, nvidia gpu utilization hits all time highs
- CUDA remains global standard (Chinese OSS is coming)
- AI chips beyond Nvidia (AWS, Trainium, Google TPU, Chinese dupes) push to gain NVLink parity

2nd Order Effects
- Sovereign clouds (Asia/Middle) east seek composable GPU setups (plays into digital belt and road initiative)
- Model providers hedge against Nvidia lock in by building different toolchains
- Start to see inkling of orchestration + load balancing for heterogenous GPU/TPU/ASIC environments (Dria is supporting this) environment budding

3rd Order Effects
- Modular, interoperable data center design becomes standard (whats the probability that Nvidia goes the way of Cisco...)
- Open source standards go the way of fragmentation/geography, the heterogenous design wins out (a win for crypto and permissionless networks)
- jensen gets his wish and ingerence becomes the largest workload...
