I was having issues with the public chat for my mod, and after discussing it with my friend he said this, which I think is brilliant:

if you take a very intelligent, socially adept, self-aware man and add racism to that person, you get a great man who can safeguard a society in a way no other type of man can. This was the standard type of person who was a politician for the first few hundred years of American society. They were all high IQ racist sexists, and they benefitted from living in a time when this was the norm, so that it did not require someone to be anti-social or weird in any way to arrive at such views

If you take a socially awkward cringelord who can't relate to other people and is totally unaware of how they come across, and add racism to THAT person, you've just made a very annoying person even more so.
