Edward Dutton on understanding Jason Arday's spiteful suicide as an act of narcissism.

Trevor Lynch argues that the new Masters of the Universe film (streaming now on Amazon Prime) is a subversive masterpiece of Right-wing cinema:
"Masters of the Universe is for manliness and power. It is against liberalism, wokeness, feminism, and weakness. Moreover, although this movie has many genuinely comic scenes, it does not poke fun at good things. It saves mockery for the evil and stupid; it attacks cynicism and irony directed at the good. These are very healthy messages."
". . . this reboot is politically interesting, because at Amazon (of all places), wokeness didn’t parody Masters of the Universe. Indeed, the new Masters of the Universe makes a mockery of wokeness."

What low-information liberal moralizing looks like:
“I don’t know any of the details about the charges against Jason Arday. But it sure is heckin’ indecent that the media hounded that poor man to death.”
If I had the money, I would employ someone full time to unmask every fake black academic. It can't be hard.

Jason Arday is probably not an isolated case.
Arday's rise to academic stardom was a product of attitudes and incentives promoting racial and sexual diversity at the expense of competence that are universal in Western academia.
Those same ideas and incentives have have governed the academic careers of every other non-white, female, and LGBT academic.
Therefore, we should expect to find similar patterns of academic fraud.
Academia is in a panic about Jason Arday because this is just the beginning.

The next generation of Bond films should be set in the 1960s. A present-day setting would likely just be an inferior imitation of the Craig films.
By setting them in the 60s, they could avoid present-day political issues and tonally shift the series away from pessimism.

The convergence of left and right populists since October 7 has created the illusion that a "left-right alliance" is possible.
But neither foreign policy nor economic populism can be the basis for a real political alliance. My latest essay:

So if you could tune in, that would be great.
Leftists are claiming Jason Arday's death was caused by those who held him to account.
The implication is that he should have just been allowed to continue to get away with his corruption and dishonesty because he was black.
Accepting such standards would be the real crime.
It somehow seems appropriate to let BBC Pidgin handle this story.
