Maybe we still need block rewards, just at a much lower level — just enough to cover server costs. Right now it looks like block rewards are close to 50% a year, which is a lot.

I totally agree to stop mining as well .... the idea to maintain nodes by mining is currently lost as CS has not value at all, so who is maintaining the node is for sure not to take new CS. Maybe an utility token might be shared, to access some services among owners, for example storage, computation, others, but not distributing CS

Halving should happen arround september this year if im not wrong. So inflation will be +31 mils over next 4 years and then 15.5mils over next 4 years and so on.. Inflation is minimal. 100% total over many years :)

It's indeed the amount of rewards, which should be discussed. Adding 50+ mill CS in 2 years, is quite a lot.This diluting idea was worth the shot if activity around CS increased, which it didn't....

286 mil.... Damn.... If i remember correct, this ''mining'' was to attract new node-runners. Looking back the past year, this didn't had any positive effect on new miners.
