What did the email say? One of the common scams in the past was to get a legit email sent out (by requesting a reset etc) which was asking you to do something (to unlock account/change details etc) while on the phone (with the scammer) to trick you in to compromising your account

Just had another phone call from supposedly c.com
So I contacted them via the app and they said they will only call me if I requested it
but I didn’t
What’s weird is c.com confirmed the number was not official but the email he said I was gonna receive was official email address looks like someone is working on the inside
Any body else had this situation

That adds up now because the email was a verification code which I didn’t give him

So would that person have contacted c.com pretending to be me but he must have a c.com account to be contacting them

A lot of the time they don't, they know your name they claim you have an account with X, if you don't then its someone's set up one without your knowledge let's us help with that or you do then they go down that route, you just happen to have the account.

There's been loads of examples of people who dont have accounts getting contacted too.
