HashKey Group has raised $30M from Gaorong Ventures at a $1.5B valuation
Hong Kong-based HashKey Group has secured a $30M investment from China’s Gaorong Ventures. The investment follows HashKey's previous $100M Series A financing round and brings the project's pre-money valuation to $1.2B. Back in April, HashKey Group introduced HashKey Chain, a zero knowledge-proof Layer 2 chain, with the testnet scheduled to go live within the next six months, and mainnet within a year.

Ethereum Foundation has allocated $120M worth of $ETH to multiple lending protocols
The Ethereum Foundation has transferred $120M worth of its ether holdings into decentralized finance protocols, including Aave, Spark, and Compound. Some 30,800 ETH was moved into Aave, while the Spark and Compound protocols received 10,000 ETH and 4,200 ETH respectively. The foundation will also start earning yields on its DeFi deposits. Earlier in January, Ethereum Foundation moved 50,000 ETH to a multi-sig wallet to support DeFi protocols following public scrutiny of its treasury management.
