Unitas has introduced xGLD, a new yield-bearing gold asset on BNB Chain, backed by Tether Gold (XAUt) and designed to combine gold exposure with DeFi-native yield generation.
xGLD is minted using USDT, which is used to acquire XAUt collateral. The protocol then leverages this backing to deploy capital into yield strategies, with returns distributed to xGLD holders.
