I tried cointracker from coinbase on turbo tax but i only imported coinbase exchange transactions as i was scared to put any private wallet info on there, do i have to put my private wallet transactions?? They cant trAck can they, binance is restricted in texas , i do have vpn but am afraid to use binance as it asks for my full social number,

im using koinly but there are other products. essentially, you give them your addresses and they scan it all and give you a report

Guys i have a question, so if i made seaps on dex’s like pancake uniswap that doesnt have to be reported right? I do have some conversions on coinbase those i can report right cause coinbase sends them to the irs right? Anyone know???

Hey all , noob question .but all my crypto is done on a seprate pc as advised so when i want to do my taxes on koinly should i use this same pc to copy snd paste my addresses OR should i just write down my addresses and access koinly from a different pc?

Because the IRS considers a swap to be a “sale and purchase” so if you exited your original token for a profit, they want their cut. Kind of like selling real estate without going through the 1031 exchange process. Not saying I agree that it’s right cause I think it’s ridiculous, but their policy is clear.

are you kyc'ed on binance? maybe you could use VPN to get around TX restriction. just say you drove to OK, LA, NM, or Mexico to sell it? dont know if you can move it somewhere it swap out
