Today two very important pieces of news took place:

- Morgan Stanley became the first U.S. bank to give their wealthy clients access to Bitcoin funds
- Meitu, a Hong Kong based company, invested $50 million into BTC & ETH to hold on their balance sheet

First, Bitcoin is completing its transformation in becoming an institutional asset.

Second and most importantly, Meitu bought more ETH than BTC. Why? Well we haven't had a discussionn with them but here's our opinion:

Investors are slowly beginning to understand how big Ethereum is. Today alone, over 1.3 Million transactions have taken place on Ethereum and that is a very normal number. ETH does not have a supply cap like Bitcoin, instead it has an inflation schedule which makes it less scarce than Bitcoin. BUT the newest proposal scheduled for implementation in July (EIP1559) will fix the fee problem and also introduce a Fee Burn. Ethereum generated $27 Million in fee revenue in the past 24 hours - $700M in the past 30 days. With transactional volumes increasing, ETH will reach a tipping point where Fee Burn > Inflation and hence turns ETH into a deflationary asset; making it more scarce than Bitcoin.

To give you more stats, only 3.5% of Ethereum addresses have interacted with DeFi protocols, imagine the upside on transactional volumes, fees and revenue with the burning mechanism from here.

ETH's economic model is getting a facelift (& that does not even include ETH2.0 with staking and locked up supply - 32ETH per validator)
