The creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club is about to sell $300 million in metaverse land for its game "Otherside."
Yuga Labs will issue digital "deeds" for up to 55,000 plots of metaverse property.
Moreover, within 45 minutes post launch, around $100 million worth of plots on the Otherside Metaverse is sold. It is estimated that more than $300 million worth of plots could be minted on the Otherside Metaverse today.
🇲🇽 Central Bank of Mexico will launch its CBDC by 2025
The Governor of Banco de Mexico (the country’s central bank) informed that Mexico will have its CBDC in full circulation within the next 3 years, i.e., 2025.
The CBDC will enable greater financial inclusion for citizens while expanding existing payment options. They also expect to deploy new automation mechanisms to speed up payment processes.
The announcement, however, gives the idea that Mexico’s CBDC could support more services than just transmission of the value.

Shiba Inu, Solana and four other tokens added to Robinhood
Four popular cryptocurrencies, including the tokens of Shiba Inu and Solana, have been listed on the trading platform Robinhood.
SHIB, SOL, Polygon’s MATIC, and Compound’s COMP tokens were added to Robinhood Crypto, the platform's crypto-focused trading platform.
SHIB prices surged some 7% in the past hour. It is the second meme coin to be listed on Robinhood, alongside Dogecoin’s DOGE. COMP jumped 6.6%, MATIC added 3.5% and SOL 2%.

A stablecoin on the Solana blockchain has been exploited for $28 million and lost practically all of its value.
The exploit happened shortly after 9:00 AM UTC. The total value locked within the protocol fell from $28.87 million to $569,000.
At the same time, the price of the stablecoin dropped from $1 to practically zero.

Binance to limit services for Russian citizens after EU sanctions
Binance, by following the EU’s fifth package of restrictive measures against Russia, will limit services for Russian nationals or natural persons residing in Russia, or legal entities established in Russia.
The rules will apply to anyone owning crypto assets exceeding the value of 10,000 EUR. Accounts that classify under this restriction will be turned into withdrawal-only mode. No deposits or trading will be permitted on these accounts.
The limit also covers all spot, futures, custody wallets, and staked and earned deposits. Accounts for Russian nationals residing outside Russia and people with a balance below 10k EUR will remain unaffected and active.
Russian nationals or naturals who have crypto account balances that exceed 10k EUR will be given 90 days to close out their positions.

Treasure DAO, a decentralized NFT ecosystem has recently been exploited in a series of txs, leading to 100+ NFTs stolen from several collections of Treasure Marketplace.
The exploit was done by putting valid NFT token and NFT ID, but w/ invalid ZERO quantity.
The hack is made possible due to a bug in distinguishing ERC721 and ERC1155 in buyItem, which miscalculates the price of ERC721 as ERC1155 with the given 0 quantity.

🇰🇷 South Korea to invest $187M in national Metaverse
South Korea’s Ministry of ICT, Science, and Future Planning pledged 223.7 billion KRW ($186.7 million) to create a broad Metaverse ecosystem to support the growth of digital content and corporate growth within the country.
The Ministry said that funds will be spent on completing four main objectives in creating what appears to be an all-encompassing Metaverse ecosystem titled the Expanded Virtual World.
The government agency intends on using its Metaverse as a platform for expanding the virtual industrial growth of cities, education, and media.
The Ministry said that it will host community-oriented creative activities, a Metaverse developer contest, and a hackathon.
