The Bitcoin Core developer himself denies this information.
The main arguments in support of the theory:
▫️In 2010, Peter Todd responded to Satoshi Nakamoto on BitcoinTalk from his account - he allegedly accidentally ended a conversation about BTC code and functions from the wrong page.
▫️Both BitcoinTalk accounts went silent at the same time.
▫️Peter Todd implemented the "Replace-by-Fee" concept.
▫️He used the pseudonym "John Dillon" to promote RBF.
▫️Both used British/Canadian spelling.
▫️Satoshi Nakamoto posted on a schedule that coincided with the schedule of a student (Peter Todd was studying at the time), posting more on weekends.
▫️Peter Todd once discussed “donating” BTC – this is believed to be in reference to the destruction of Satoshi Nakamoto’s coins.
✔ BitMEX Research believes that some of the evidence is “patently ridiculous” and there is “no reason” to believe that Peter Todd is Satoshi Nakamoto.
