Imp: Reg : UPSC Pattern/Syllabus Change
In response to several emails concerning the possibility of an overhaul of UPSC CSE's pattern.
I understand that some changes are long overdue and perhaps necessary, but they are certainly neither imminent nor immediate.
Please do not let these possibilites affect your current preparation process. If and when any changes do get announced, there will be ample time given to the students to adapt to the new pattern.
This has generally been the case whenever major changes are announced.
Please continue your preparation with the current scheme and pattern to the exam, and there is absolutely no need to panic or pay heed to sensational outages.
Lastly, it has been historically seen that whenever major changes do occur, both the commission and the students take time to adapt and there is generally a relative ease with which the changes are executed.
There is no upper hand to be gained by predicting these changes before they are offically announced, if at all this ever happens.

Important :
The UPSC had (yet again) withheld the Mains 2023 results of several candidates. The primary reason was that the EWS certificates of the candidates were signed by Naib Tehsildar while it was contended that the Tehsildar was to be one signing it. In most states, the power to do the same was with Naib Tehsildar with the state governments authorising the same.
We approached the SC, HC, and finally CAT.
Happy to state, that the CAT has issued order that these students will be able to appear for the Interview.
The matter was taken up pro bono like always.
