The UPSC has sent an email to several students who have been selected in CSE 2023 to submit an affadvait clarifying a discrepancy in their documents.
Please be advised to check your email and you may submit the affavait either in person or preferably by speed post if you’re not submitting in person. If speed post is going to take a bit longer then you may choose a private courier service. If you’re sending the affidavit by speed post/courier, please keep the receipt safely and don’t lose it.
In some cases, two affadvaits may be required depending on the nature of discrepancies.

Imp: Reg : UPSC Pattern/Syllabus Change
In response to several emails concerning the possibility of an overhaul of UPSC CSE's pattern.
I understand that some changes are long overdue and perhaps necessary, but they are certainly neither imminent nor immediate.
Please do not let these possibilites affect your current preparation process. If and when any changes do get announced, there will be ample time given to the students to adapt to the new pattern.
This has generally been the case whenever major changes are announced.
Please continue your preparation with the current scheme and pattern to the exam, and there is absolutely no need to panic or pay heed to sensational outages.
Lastly, it has been historically seen that whenever major changes do occur, both the commission and the students take time to adapt and there is generally a relative ease with which the changes are executed.
There is no upper hand to be gained by predicting these changes before they are offically announced, if at all this ever happens.
