There may be a lot of reasons for this including but not limited to ongoing and recently concluded litigation concerning policy issues. However, to the best of my understanding, there should not be any academic change in the exam both on the timeline as well as the syllabus front.
Please do not pay any attention to rumours about optional being removed in this context.
Please continue consoludating your mains prep and bringing in your prelims prep to the forefront.
