Parents who refuse to allow their children to change gender could potentially face prison in Scotland.

That's according to a new plan that will criminalize forcing anyone to "suppress" their gender identity. It would become illegal to stop children from "dressing in a way that reflects their sexual orientation or gender identity."

If parents refuse to go along with their child's decision that they are trans, they risk up to seven years in prison.
