Eric Ries knows, and you? 👀
The lean startup methodology was described by Eric Ries back in 2011. But it is still relevant and has lots of followers among entrepreneurs. Why did it make such a stir? Simply because it works
To save you a great deal of time, we’ve outlined the major principles of the lean startup. The methodology is applicable to companies of any size since its focus is on validated learning
💁 Hypothesize — work out predictions of what you expect to get in the end
🔧 Build — create a minimum product that may help you test the hypothesis
🔍 Measure — study the results obtained after the minimum product release
🎓 Learn — decide on the direction to follow, either pivoting or sticking to the original idea
And Repeat, if necessary
If you are a fan of books, make sure to read The Lean Startup from cover to cover
If you are not a reader type of person, watch Eric Ries presenting his book during Talks at Google (☝️hint: just search it in YouTube)

The role of regression testing in product development
No digital product is released without testing — otherwise, it will be full of bugs 🐞🐞🐞
Regression testing helps spot defective parts of code early on since it is performed successively, in short iterations. Regression testing also ensures that previously detected errors remain fixed and do not affect code after each implemented change
But when a project is complex and has multiple interfaces, any form of testing is a real hassle 😱 Manual testing is hardly applicable in this case 🙅 It takes a ton of man-hours and resources. Besides, there’s a risk of human error

Let's talk about real-data synchronization 🤩
When you build cross-platform apps, all of your clients share one database set in real-time. They also automatically receive updates with the newest data. It is called data synchronization
It would be best if you had a way of synchronizing data between databases in real-time
For example, when data is changed in one place, it should be synchronized with another database. Changes need to be detected and automatically synchronized with another database. This process should be fully automated
We have developed a set of algorithms and tested them. This set allows us to:
📌 Store and sync data with our cloud database
📌 Remain all the data available even when your app goes offline
📌 Sync the data once the device is back online
In addition, data synchronization results in cost-efficiency, high performance, data security, data consistency, and accuracy for an organization

While product managers may not build the actual product they produce something very tangible for a team: decisions
These decisions can be about anything: small ones like a line of copy in the docs, to big ones like what the MVP of a new feature should be
Typically, the most important decisions that a PM makes are, in order:
🔸 Why a team exists (vision and the impact they aspire to create)
🔸 What the general approach is to accomplish the vision (strategy)
🔸 What to build now, and what not to build (project prioritization)
🔸 What the smallest thing that can be built is that achieves the impact (MVP)
A great article that focuses on what it means for a PM to be a good decision maker

❌ Stop building products that nobody uses!
Why products and services fail? Because they can’t deliver experiences that users seek
UX strategy ensures that you deliver the right product to the right audience. But it’s not only about user needs. A good UX strategy lies at the intersection of stakeholders’ vision, user research, and competitors’ analysis
This is how you can approach each element of the puzzle:
Business vision 👉 stakeholder interviews
User needs 👉 surveys, focus groups, customer feedback, A/B testing
Competitor research 👉 SWOT analysis, profiling

Let’s talk about OKR - Objectives and Key Results 🙌
This method was invented and first used by Intel. Google, Oracle, LinkedIn, and Twitter picked up this method later 😻
OKR helps to focus on goals, increases initiative and stimulates work between different teams in the company
Consider the Objective as a mission statement but for a shorter period. The Objective should be qualitative, time-bound, and actionable
Key Results help you to quantify your motivational Objective, make it measurable and possible to achieve. In other words, Key Results help you to know whether you met your Objective
✅ In a nutshell, an objective answers the question “Where do we want to go?” while a critical result gives an understanding of how we will know we’re getting there
The primary purpose of OKRs for agile product teams lies in their promise to improve the way we work
