Did you know your head contains 22 bones ? 💀
• Although the cranium—the largest section of the skull—might appear to be one solid bone, there are actually 22 bones that encase the brain. Twenty-one of those pieces are fused together by sutures, which are nearly rigid, fibrous joints found only in the skull. Similar connective fibers are found in teeth and the spine.
• These sutures give the appearance of cracks or fissures. These are easiest to see on the side of the head where the temporal bone meets the parietal bone, and in the back where the occipital bone adjoins the temporal and parietal bones.
• The skull consists of the cranium and the mandible, or jawbone. It is the semi-circular bone at the bottom of the skull and attached to the cranium at the jaw. The mandible is responsible for the up and down motion of the jaw.
• The mandible also holds the bottom row of teeth; the maxilla holds the upper row. Mammals, including humans, develop two sets of teeth during their lives.

Did you know Thursday is actually a Thor's Day ?
• The name is derived from Old English and Middle English Thuresday (with loss of -n-, first in northern dialects, from the influence of Old Norse) meaning "Thor's Day". It was named after the Norse god of thunder, Thor.
• Thunor, Donar (German, Donnerstag), and Thor are derived from the name of the Germanic god of thunder, Thunraz, equivalent to Jupiter in the interpretatio Romana.
• In most Romance languages, the day is named after the Roman god Jupiter, who was the god of sky and thunder. In Latin, the day was known as Iovis Dies, "Jupiter's Day". In Latin, the genitive or possessive case of Jupiter was Iovis/Jovis and thus in most Romance languages, it became the word for Thursday: Italian giovedi, Spanish jueves, French jeudi, Sardinian jovia, Catalan dijous, Galician xoves, and Romanian joi. Phrases used to describe an earworm include "musical imagery repetition", "involuntary musical imagery", "cognitive itch" and "stuck song syndrome".
• The word earworm is a calque from the German Ohrwurm, which has had this sense since the mid-20th century. The earliest known English usage is in Desmond Bagley's 1978 novel Flyaway, where the author points out the German origin of his coinage.

Did you know about the first temple of the world ?
• The world's oldest monuments may soon get an image makeover. A new project will promote and preserve Gobekli Tepe, home to the most ancient temple structures ever discovered.
• Since excavations began in 1995, the site in southeastern Turkey has changed the way archaeologists think about the origins of civilization. Its circular structures, with their elaborately carved stones and distinctive, T-shaped pillars, are more than 12,000 years old, older than the invention of agriculture or even pottery.
• The early dates have upended the idea that agriculture led to civilization. Scholars long thought that when hunter-gatherers settled down and started growing crops, the resulting food surplus made it possible for people to organize complex societies.
• Göbekli Tepe calls that conventional wisdom into question. Klaus Schmidt, a German archaeologist who led excavations at the site, argued before he died in 2014 that it might have worked the other way around: The vast labor force needed to build the enclosures pushed people to develop agriculture as a way of providing predictable food, and perhaps drink, for workers.
• Newly gathered evidence from excavations at the site backs up Schmidt's argument that the beginnings of civilization spurred the invention of farming. In the middle of each monumental enclosure are two tall T-shaped pillars, carved with stylized arms, hands and loincloths. The largest weighs more than 16 tons. Carving and moving them from a nearby quarry must have been a tremendous challenge, requiring hundreds of people and enough food to feed them all.
