Julian Assange has broken his silence, and he says the only reason he is now free is because he “pled guilty to journalism.”
He called out the U.S. government for turning journalism into a crime, warning that his case is just the beginning.
Assange also revealed how the CIA attempted to assassinate him within the embassy, tried to obtain DNA from his infant son, and had a CIA asset permanently track his wife.
“We revealed the CIA's vast production of malware and viruses, its subversion of supply chains... CIA Director Pompeo launched a campaign of retribution,” Assange said.
He went on to explain that under Mike Pompeo’s leadership, the CIA had drafted plans to kidnap or kill him, while also targeting his colleagues in Europe with theft, hacking, and planting false information.
These jaw-dropping claims are backed by over thirty current and former U.S. intelligence officials, as well as evidence from a legal case against some of the CIA agents involved.

Iran launched a barrage of missiles at Israel this evening, lighting up the skies over the cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as Iron Dome defenses intercepted some of the projectiles and warning sirens blared.
The Israeli military said it believed the attack was over, and was not aware of any casualties.
