At the moment, Dash has data contracts, which can accomplish many (but not all) of the functions typically used by smart contracts. In a couple months, when developer tools/SDKs/etc. for the current feature-set are more done, we will work out which VM (virtual machine) Dash will use for smart contracts, then work on that for deployment next year.

IBC is still on the map for after that, so next year probably
