self-promotion Github Archives Available on Snowflake
Hi everyone - we recently made the fantastic gharchives.org dataset available on Snowflake:
https://app.snowflake.com/marketplace/listing/GZTSZAS2KD1/cybersyn-inc-github-archive-events
The https://www.gharchive.org/ project pulls data from Github's API and centralizes it as downloadable JSON files. We (Cybersyn) has flattened these JSON files and upload them daily to Snowflake, for easy querying. The dataset has been previously made available on Google BigQuery and Clickhouse.
The Clickhouse team made an excellent post on what you can do with this dataset: https://ghe.clickhouse.tech/ and that is now available in 1 click to anyone who happens to be on Snowflake.

D Will there be a replacement for Machine Learning Twitter?
It seems like a lot of prominent ML researchers are pretty active on Twitter, and that it's a decent place to hear about new research and promote your own stuff. But, the inmates appear to have taken over the asylum over there. Will there be, for example, an ML Mastodon instance?

U.S. Patents dataset, including expiry date (or issue date) and patent number.
I don't see how to search for this information on https://uspto.gov .... Issue date would also work as expiry date would be easily deduced.

Hello, could any employees of these companies share what the work culture is like? I have seen some job postings I liked for recent grads at each company and wanted to know what people think of them. For context I am a soon to graduate statistics MS and would like to know if either company is more stats heavy? Also what are they like for recent grads who are pretty young still
