📆 The DeepMine team is back with yet another recap of things we were working on last week. Without further ado, here they are:

✅ Smart contracts are being extensively tested before the beta release;
✅ Personal contracts function suggested by the alpha testers was added and is being tested (it will allow players to create contracts that can be signed only by the counterparty specified);
✅ Engineer Equipment Hall is in the works;
✅ Blockchain and calculations for the Energy system are in the works;
✅ Blockchain and calculations for the Inventory system are in the works.

The preparation for mining is in the final stage and the heat from the Core can already be felt through the dark voids of mine entrances. Looking back helps us appreciate just how far we've progressed. So here’s the next episode of our Work In Progress posts series.

We hope you had a productive week. The DeepMine team surely did!

As always on Fridays, we’re sharing a weekly recap of activities both in-progress and completed.

Here’s what happened behind-the-scenes:

✅ New game screen “Wastelands” added;
✅ City interface revamped (backlight added);
✅ Blockchain features for the Engineer role are being finalized;
✅ Blockchain features for the mine level upgrade are being finalized;
✅ Frontend of the Engineer's cabin is in the works;
✅ Design of special engineering NFTs in the works;
✅ Total review of the UI layouts.

The team is pushing towards the planned launch of the beta release in 4-6 weeks.

👋 Hey Eleazarians!

Yesterday we had a DeepMine Day session on Twitch and, as always, it was great to spend time with you!

Before embarking into our usual gaming session of Smash Karts, Eugene dropped some news about the progress in DeepMine game ongoing development:

🚀 For the closed alpha release, the team was focusing on getting contract mechanics right (this involved lots of complex calculations). We were also testing backend and blockchain processes;
🚀 Beta release will be more enhanced on the UI side;
🚀 The planned time of a closed beta release on main net is 4-6 weeks from now and the team is pushing hard to make it happen;
🚀 The role of Engineer is getting bigger than we initially planned. It’s the 4th role we’re integrating atm, and we realized that its in-game mechanics should be expanded;
🚀 The role of Scientist will also get new mechanics related to the communication with other roles in the game.

We are keeping you up to date with the weekly recaps on Fridays so that you can easily follow all the latest updates and details.

Friday Night. A lot has happened in recent days, so we decided to combine our traditional weekly recap with the closed alpha version recap. Here we go!

Let’s start with the closed alpha release recap.

The first group of miners landed on Eleazar and entered the mines on the 3rd of August. Over the following days, they’ve tried and tested all the systems.

🔹 The first external expedition to Eleazar consisted of 44 brave alpha testers.
🔹 Three roles were available for testing: Contractor, Mine Owner, and Landlord. For alpha it was not allowed to do a “self-cycle” meaning one couldn’t work in their own mine installed in their own area. This was done to test the contracts between the players.
🔹 The expedition has provided amazing feedback for the team to work on and to make the process more streamlined. The team followed the actions of the players and their interactions with each other to evaluate the game balance and mechanics of the game.
🔹 While the miners are enjoying the last days of the summer, the team is working hard to push the beta out to let more people relish the poisonous deadly wastelands around Shelter City.

Hello Eleazarians! 👋

🚀 The DeepMine Day #5 was packed with updates about the upcoming release! Here’s a recap of what was discussed during the live stream on Twitch:

🔸 Starting next week, we will be covering everything related to in-game economics. We’ll have detailed overviews of saturation and ejection process, elaborate on the in-game roles as part of economic cycle and equipment functioning (including repairs);
🔸 There is a possibility of another closed testnet release, shortly before the launch of beta;
🔸 All game roles are almost completed;
🔸 Legendary mines won’t be minted again;
🔸 Petobots is the first project to be integrated with the DeepMine metaverse (check Petobots Discord channel for cool previews of characters).

Those who joined us yesterday also saw an exclusive showcase of Wastelands — areas where the actual mining will be happening. Wastelands will be released in the beta version. We will release high-res images next week — keep track of the updates on our social media.

As we’re getting closer to the planned beta release, we’ll have more and more details revealed.

DeepMine took part in the AIBC Balkans/CIS on August 23 & 24 in Belgrade.

And it was chosen as the GameFi Project of the Year! It wouldn’t be possible without our awesome community. You’re always involved and supportive, so big thank you for that! This win is yours, too.

Besides receiving the award, Eugene also took part in two sessions: Will Decentralized Metaverse Be Able To Provide A Proper Use Case For NFTs? & NFTs: Treasure In The World Of Gaming.

It was a great experience and a cool opportunity to share ideas, mingle with fellow web3/GameFi enthusiasts and also to win an award!

The summer is coming to an end, but that only means that the game release is getting closer. The DeepMine team is constantly working behind-the-scenes on different improvements for the game: functionality, design, tech aspects. We’re also going through detailed feedback from our alpha testers.

Today we’re coming back with the recap of things the team worked on this week:

✅ Engineer role revised and updated;
✅ Engineer design finalized;
✅ Blockchain development for engineer role is in progress;
✅ Breakdown math completed;
✅ Mine Owner role revised (bugs fixed);
✅ Prep work for adding animation into the game.

🔮 Do you like a friendly chatter in the most relaxed atmosphere? Great news from the Government, we're announcing the next Community Conversation Club meeting!

🔝 For this event, we'll go live on the Discord and you’ll have a chance to chat with the team and each other. It's up to you to decide what to talk about (but we are quite sure it will be linked to the recent closed alpha version release).

🕒 Join us on the 18th of August at 15:00 Eleazar (UTC) time on #conversation-club Discord channel.

🗣 For the first 30 minutes only the Club members will have speaking permission activated. After half an hour everyone will be able to join the conversation.
