Ukraine today carried out one of the most impressive and significant operations of the war, with cargo containers outside of several airbases across Russia opening to reveal dozens of remote-controlled fpv drones which were used to target military aircraft at each of the bases. The bases confirmed to have been attacked include Olenya Air Base in the Murmansk Oblast, Belaya Air Base in the Irkutsk Oblast, Ivanovo Air Base in the Ivanovo Oblast, and Dyagilevo Air Base in the Ryazan Oblast, many of which are hundreds of not thousands of miles away from Ukraine and contain strategic bombers of the Russian Air Force. Ukrainian sources report that upwards of 40 Tu-95MS, Tu-160, and Tu-22M3 Long-Range Strategic Bombers we’re targeted and damaged in the attack, delivering one of the most significant blows in history to the Russian Air Force.

Floyd Brown, a far-right activist and conspiracy theorist known for pushing anti-gay rhetoric and conspiracies about former President Barack Obama, has been removed from his role as Vice President of Development at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. after questions were raised about his appointment by CNN.

Brown’s past statements include calling homosexuality “a punishment” upon America and condemning the legality of gay sex as a crime against Christianity. He also pushed conspiracy theories about President Obama’s birth documents, while falsely claiming he is a Muslim.

Following his removal, Brown posted a lengthy statement on X, claiming that his firing was the result of his refusal to recant his “Christian beliefs on traditional marriage,” criticizing Kennedy Center President Richard Grenell, a gay man, who he claims gave no reason for his removal; with Brown stating, “My only conclusion is Richard Grenell was intimidated by a CNN story, which hasn’t been aired or published, so he preemptively fired me for my Christian beliefs on marriage.”

Gabrielle Cuccia, the Chief Pentagon Correspondent for One America News (OAN), a right-wing-leaning media network which was given an office previously occupied by NBC News at the Pentagon in February, wrote a Substack on Tuesday criticizing several of the decisions made recently by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and the Defense Department regarding press access at the Pentagon, including the locking of the door to the Pentagon Briefing Room as well as a recent memo by Secretary Hegseth limiting the access of reporters to most of the Pentagon, specifically his offices and the offices of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. With Cuccia stating in her post, “The Commander-in-Chief welcomes the hard questions… and yes, even the dumb ones. Why won’t the Secretary of Defense do the same?”

Cuccia made it clear in her Stubstack that she was a supporter of President Trump and his “Make America Great Again” MAGA Movement, but that doesn’t seem to have stopped what came next. On Thursday, Cuccia announced that she had been asked to turn in her press access badge for the Pentagon to her bureau chief, before she was then fired by OAN on Friday. OAN President Charles Herring has refused to comment on her firing, including whether it was the result of a complaint from a Pentagon official about her post on Substack.

According to a confidential report today from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran has secretly increased its stockpile of uranium enriched to 60% or more to over 900lbs, an increase of 295 lbs since the IAEA’s last report in February; with 60% enrichment being only a step away from weapons-grade uranium which could be used for a nuclear weapon. Additionally, the report also confirmed that Iran previously carried out secret nuclear activities with enriched material not declared to the IAEA, at three separate locations across the country, likely as part of an undeclared structured nuclear programme carried out until the early 2000s by Iran.

The Israel Defense Force has just issued a massive, widespread evacuation order for all Palestinians still residing in the Northern and Eastern Gaza Strip, directing them to move south and west, towards the coast and Rafah, where humanitarian aid centers are being established by the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT). According to reports, Hamas feels that the proposal disproportionately benefits Israel and does not provide a guarantee of a wider long-term ceasefire framework. The aircraft reportedly held a crew of four, with the pilots and crew believed to have been killed in the crash, which is being investigated by the Ministry of National Defense.
