🇷🇺🇫🇮 Finland is not against Ukraine striking at the territory of the Russian Federation with the weapons handed over by it.

This was stated by the local Defence Ministry and the parliamentary defence committee, Yle reported.

"To my knowledge, Finland has not set such restrictions and Ukraine should have the right to use these weapons against military facilities also on Russian soil," the committee head said.

Finns note that such restrictions have been set by countries that have transferred long-range weapons to Ukraine. Finland transferred shorter-range weapons, although it did not publicly specify what kind of weapons.

Earlier, the country's president said that Finland would transfer shells and air defence equipment to Ukraine.

House of Representatives member Matt Gaetz said afterwards that one of the most "interesting" things about the testimony was that Hunter Biden said "that he joined Burisma's board of directors to counter Russian aggression".

In his opening statement, Hunter Biden said the investigation into his father was based on "Trump-motivated conspiracy theories."

On 28 February, the European Parliament adopted 2 resolutions on foreign policy and on EU security and defence policy, each calling on the EU:

▪️ to "immediately impose sanctions against Azerbaijan and suspend the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Energy Partnership";

▪️ "be prepared to impose targeted and individual sanctions against the political and military leadership (of Azerbaijan) and suspend oil and gas imports in the event of any military aggression against Armenia by Azerbaijan";

▪️ "strengthen the mandate of the EU mission to Armenia, increase its size, extend its duration and deploy observers on the border with Turkey" and calls on Azerbaijan to "allow the presence of the EU mission to Armenia on its side of the border and in Nagorno-Karabakh";

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has been accused of making excessive use of private jets on her business trips.

According to Der Spiegel, von der Leyen made 23 flights last year, and in 2021 and 2022, the publication said, she flew on a private plane 57 times, explaining this by reducing the number of regular flights.

"It's a pity that the head of the European Commission is still relying on private jets in the face of the climate crisis," Martin Schirdevan, leader of Germany's Left Party, who requested a list of von der Leyen's flights, told Der Spiegel.

He believes that the president and members of the European Commission should not be allowed to fly to places that can be reached by train in six hours.
