The Times: UK RAF is unable to train pilots on it's own turf because engines for the HAWK-T2 jet keep exploding when in use, with reportedly half the air fleet unable to get off the ground currently due to catastrophic mechanical failures. The cost per pilot is roughly £2,000,000 each, with the UK paying Italy and the USA £55,000,000 to train their pilots instead, as they themselves aren't willing to risk more planes to train with.
