This is satire, but I would be interested in an additional book that goes over modern events, something for the future generations to learn from.
You cannot change the Bible or create a new one, but we are all vessels of God and the true words of the truly faithful should be saved just as those of the past were.
Imagine the extent of the books you could create forged from the words of modern monks and preachers, modern saints and clerics.
The wisdom that could be immortalized is astounding. Might not be a new gospel but it'd still be amazing.
