if you have root you can get the full animation but without root it's just not good

Yeah. They should do a better job on their own launchers if they want to keep us there. If they don't want to do that, they could at least unlock the gestures for other launchers.

If you ask me, they could even lose money for this. As a person that likes more customization, as well as smooth and seamless transitions on third party launchers, I would rather go to the phone that offers me that than getting stuck on a uncustomizable a laggy phone due to restrictions.

Probably is not a choice for some, but if you use a Launcher like Like Smart Launcher 6. You can get all your icons masked by it, they look so good. Here I'm using the 3 accent version.

In Smart Launcher, since it is still in the testing phase, you can unlock them by pressing and holding the version info menu in the launcher settings, after that you will unlock an experimental features menu.

The most ideal option is to have icons only on the main screen.I don't understand why this isn't implemented anywhere except Pixel and Nothing.Motorola has only the use of icon packs everywhere - on the main screen and the app menu
