OK, unityofwork has other purpose. I use it too, I mean you create a repository interface for each entity, so with generic repo you don't need that

I'm not sure about your ach, I tend to separate both layers also, but sometimes you need a transaction instead a simple query and that's when UnitOfWork is more useful at least for me
