Did you know that in 2020, Glacier National Park in Montana had to remove signs that said all its glaciers would be melted by 2020? The signs were there for more than a decade and reflected climate change forecasts at the time, courtesy of the US Geological Survey.
In 2017, the park was told that the data were not accurate but they didn't remove the signs until 2020, citing lack of budget.
New signs say "when and how the glaciers disappear depends on how and when we act."
